1. Company History and Evolution
Towfiiq General Trading Company was established in 1992—only a year after the collapse of Somalia state in 1991—in Somalia and located its headquarter to Bossaso, Somalia. Towfiiq is known to be the first business entity in Somalia established as a modern-day organization form. Before that, every business entity in the country was either a sole-proprietary or family-owned business. Thus, Towfiiq played an important role for shaping the business practice in the country.
Company Description
Towfiiq General Trading Company is one of Somalia’s main food stuff distributers and a leading provider of building materials, electronics, furniture, and general merchandise. The company employs over 200 permanent employees and hundreds of temporary workers earning money to support their lives and the lives of their families.
What We Do

To keep our promise to provide the best competitive offers to our customers, we have licensed to be the sole-distributor of several products from producing companies and we have co-invested Salalah Macaroni Company, producer of the most favored pasta in East Africa and supplier of pasta to many African countries.
